In the ongoing quest to be "responsible adults", Quynh and I have just purchased a house. It actually went on sale a couple of months ago. We submitted an offer, but were beaten by an eager bidder who was determined to win. Unfortunately the bidder's eyes were bigger than their reach, they failed to obtain funding, and eventually lost their $30k deposit. Woops. We swooped in and picked up the property as the backup bidder.
We officially got ownership on Friday and moved in on the weekend. It is a small cosy home just 15 minutes from Google by bike. Being car-free, the double-width garage presents an amazing space for ... activities.
My favourite moment while packing was when I asked "Have you seen my space suit?", upon which Quynh pointed at a box. Ok, maybe we aren't yet "responsible adults".
