23 September 2010
One year ago I published a paper at DocEng 2009 in Munich. It was a good conference with a lot of interesting topics and people. My pitch to bring DocEng here was approved. As a result I'm hosting DocEng 2011 at the Googleplex next September. This is my first time organizing a large conference, so I'm being extra meticulous in the preparations. Because you know I'd just die of embarrassment if we ran out of mango juice at the refreshment table.
Here's a fun video I shot to give the attendees of this year's DocEng 2010 a taste of what's to come.
Unrelated to DocEng, I recently shot another, even more entertaining video. However I'm not allowed to post it for at least ten years, so you'll have to wait a bit.
Over the past month I've also been rebuilding my ability to build stuff. New tools are arriving to replace all the ones that my aunt threw out while I was out of the country. My tiny workshop is starting to become usable.
