Book Safe

12 October 2008

A bunch of Googlers returned from the Munich office and brought with them some virus nobody here has immunity for. Our office was a lot emptier this week as a result. I was no exception and was out of action for three days. Question: What to do when one is sniffling and can't really think or concentrate? Answer: Play with really sharp knives.

Here's an old Chemistry textbook. Amazon is filled with used copies of this (excellent) book at $5 which nobody can sell. My copy looks normal, but pick it up and you'll find that it is disturbingly light. That's because I carved out all 1000 pages to turn it into a safe.
