Magnet Bridge

31 January 2010

A few months ago a coworker purchased a very large number of magnetic spheres. This became a major source of deproductivity as we engineered ever more elaborate geometrical forms. Abstract shapes soon gave way to structures anchored to cube walls and lighting fixtures. My final contribution was this suspension bridge. The roadbed is made of that other great source of office deproductivity: post-it notes.

The owner of said magnets shot this video of the bridge as we were packing up our stuff in preparation for moving to another part of the building.
