This website has been uncharacteristically quiet for the past month. That's always an ominous sign. And here come the results.
As everyone in my apartment building knows, my robotic bagpipe chanter is now fully operational. Here's an MP3 of it playing Clumsy Lover (not bad for it's first tune, but I need to tighten up the tollerances). I'll update the chanter's webpage with photos, videos and source code over the coming days.
Completion of this project came not a moment too soon: this weekend (30-31 May 2009) is the annual bay area Maker Faire. If you are in the area, take a day to visit. Here's a quick video of last year's show. I've got a couple of free tickets for Sunday, drop me an email if you want them.
Every day the Google shuttle passes a building here in San Francisco which features some odd graffiti. Is it my imagination, or is that a stargate address? It seems to be missing the point of origin...
