Riding the Lion

Thirty-two years ago an eight year old version of me was photographed wearing my kilt while riding a lion in MacDonald Park in Kingston. This summer I returned and found that the lion was still there.

For reference, here's the colour version, and one with Thao. It seems that the entire lion was moved forward several meters when his foundations were replaced, so the angles aren't exactly the same. He's also had a large number of coats of paint, which obscure some of the finer details visible in 1982.
