Polyglot 12: R
26 December 2008
Long-time readers will remember the polyglot series of posts where I implemented the same program in Perl, VB, Java, JavaScript, Euphoria, PHP, Python, POV-Ray, SVG, Moo, Smalltalk and C. It has been a while since I learned a new language, so I decided to take R out for a spin. Nice data structures, awesome for statistics, good help, slow as a dog.
Here's my source code: colours.r
Photo of the week:
This bell is at the end of a pier to help guide ships into foggy San Francisco. Note the wooden parabolic reflector behind the bell which amplifies the sound in one direction.
