This small robot can point a Magnavox security camera in any direction from straight up to straight down, and can view 360 degrees around. It is constructed from Meccano and is operated electrically from a remote joystick.
The camera mount is designed to provide surveillance of a lunar habitat for OCESS simulated space missions. It has been used as such for the past seven years and has proven to be quite durable.
I sold a sister robot to the National Museum of Science and Technology. Its camera interface was replaced with a short boom with an electromagnet at the end. This two axis robot has since disappeared, and I am unable to locate it. Any information as to its whereabouts would be appreciated, as its left-right motion is rumoured to be in need of repair.
